Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying the Easter holidays. I was wondering if anyone else has had this said about their bloods? My GP sent me for bloods re my swollen ankles. She said it had come back in a "grey area" and so I need to have an ECG scan. I know she is concerned about heart problems, but I dont seem to have any breathing problems, I do have asthma, but nothing else. As if I dont have enough appointments!! Any comments and/or answers anyone?? BARBARA

Hi Barbara,
I can't help either without knowing what the blood tests were, but I hope it all works out ok for you. Good luck with the ECG.
Love, Doreen xx

Hi Doreen, I thought the bloods were for liver and kidney function, although she did mention something about heart problems being related to RA. Oh well, maybe I will know more after the ECG x BARBARA

Hello there,
Sorry I have not had that said to me at all. I do hope you get answers quickly now , It is always something to be concerned with isn't. However try not to worry as you would have been sent there and then if they were worried about it.

Well, I reeived 2 letters today, I opened one it was from my gp surgery, telling me that the procedure I need (heart scan) is a walk in service at Guy's or St. Thomas hospital. Next i opened one from Guy's saying an appointment had been made for me on 25th May!! Talk about one hand not knowing what the other is doing!! BARBARA

Hi Barb
Sorry I haven't replied before.
What your GP says is, of course, correct, but as one who also has swollen feet and ankles towards the end of almost every day, I can only tell you that my GP isn't worried about my heart, despite the sometimes ragingly high BP. It takes all sorts, doesn't it?
Please let us know how it all goes.
Lots of love Jeanxxxx
